Liam teaches in the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies department at the University of Kansas. He has taught several courses, such as “Introduction to Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies,” “Transgender Identities, Issues, and Politics,” as well as “LGBTQ Studies and Perspectives.” Liam’s teaching is rooted in an intersectional approach and a commitment to critical thinking that links theory and praxis.

Lair will be sharing his story about how he came to identify as queer and as transmasculine. He will also discuss being out on campus and in the classroom, as well as offer advice on how to make classrooms and other campuses spaces safer and more inclusive for trans* and gender non-conforming individuals.
November 22 at 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM in the Women’s Center (BSC Basement Room 2)
Lair will be discussing hot-button issues with students in an intimate setting. Students will also have the opportunity to ask Liam any questions they have. Tea and cookies will be provided.
